I just wanted to share two very very cool things I've found this week.First is Megascenery is having a 50% sale on most of their products. When I saw that I went ahead and bought Atlanta, Pacific Northwest, and Southern Cali (a must have IMO). Cost $47.00 with 1 - 4 day shipping. I've been thinking a lot about whether or not I should be buying addons this late in the game with FSX coming up shortly, but I figured that FSX will need photoreal scenery as well, so purchasing high quality scenery I think is a good investment. My second discovery is that Bob Scott and Emilio (didn't see a last name) have decided to finish the Richard Probst 737-200 panel, or better known as Tinmouse, I have the last version released and I'd say it was about 50 - 60% finished, and it's just incredible to see some people with the skill involved to step up and finish such a great project, and their work so far looks amazing, you can view some screenshots in the aircraft and panel design forum. Thanks guys!!!!Just wanted to share.Jeff

Thanks for the HU Jeff. As for the photoreal scenery deal, FSX will have higher resolution textures and hopefully all mega titles will be updated with higher resolution data to make it sharp/more realistic at lower altitudes instead of the blurry mess we have now at under 1000 ft for us low/slow and heli guys.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/tfbeta.jpg

For that price, megascenery is unbeatable.Except FSX would support higher resolution than FS9..which would mean..photo sceneries made for FSX would be much better than the ones we have for FS9. I think. Once we get used to 1 such sceneries.. this FS9 quality may not be acceptable to us. :(I have been buying sceneries/addons too.. I have ordered Mega frankfurt airport and I downloaded Scenery Germany 4. This one is pricy...but I can't get enough of one spectaculor airport in this. This is not photoscenery... this has phto textures in some parts and well placed nice bridges and buildings all over.. Very high resolution mesh accentuating the rolling hills terrain and an awesome Land class. (I never realized how good a Land class can make a landscape). Here, you can zoom by fast and no problems of fussy/blurry textures. If flight scenery Portland comes out, I'd get that too for FS9.FSX is 6 months away... Thats just too long. moreover, it would take 6 months or so for adds to catchup.. so FS9 is good for another year. why deprive ourselves of instant gratification. And if we don't support the addon vendors..who would. :):)Manny

Well, I have Norcal and Hawaii and I've seen SOcal version 1 on my friends computer, and they're just awesome, I guess I waited so long because I'm not a big fan of waiting for deliveries and I'd rather just download everything. I know I'm missing out on some great stuff because of that, so I was just waiting for a deal like that to come around.Jeff
