April 27, 20188 yr I purchased Quality Wings 757 for my FSX. Thought I could just jump in and fly but apparently you have to start from cold. Actually most of the stuff in the cockpit is working but I get this error ERR: Startup Error , Unable to start QW757-4. Do you have to start this aircraft from cold for everything to work correctly? Thanks for any help anyone can provide! John Snyder Jr
April 27, 20188 yr From memory, the QW757 does not have a 'ready to fly' panel state but there are numerous videos and tutorials on startup procedure. In response to your error message, answer here...a good place to start to look for problems http://qwsim.flight1.net/forums/p3dv3-gauges-missing_topic6645.html. Although it mentions P3D, FSX has same issues. Edited April 27, 20188 yr by JustanotherPilot YBCG
April 27, 20188 yr Administrators One would hope that an instruction manual came with that payware aircraft. April 27, 20188 yr QW757 uses a config file to indicate the panel state to load. I thought though that by default the plane loaded up and running and you had to change the config file to load with C&D state. The config file is described in the user manual. Updating addon manager never worked for me but it did for some people. In case that doesn't solve the problem, in FSX you can map a key to the Aircraft Reload function and then use that key command to get rid of the gauge startup errors. You also need the Latha font mentioned in the QW forums or the FMC CDU doesn't work. Barry Friedman
April 28, 20188 yr All I did was load up a Cessna and then when the world loads in click select air craft then qw 757 and you won't get the error message. Hope it works, I had a few problems then I figured it out.
