Flying Kiwi Repaints for the 340

Featured Replies

Apologies Mr Moderator if this should go in the main Repaint forum thread, they seemed more relevant here.

Sadly we only have a few 340's operating in New Zealand now courtesy of Air Chatham's. But that never stopped us enjoying what was.

ZK-KRA, still operating alongside her sister CIZ. KRA was formerly operated by the short lived Kiwi Regional Airlines.

The aforementioned KIWI KRA. I managed to see the inaugural landing of this aircraft into NZTG some years back.

And to round them off the classic (ZK-NLQ) and Pacific Wave (ZK-NLG) Air New Zealand liveries.

All being uploaded today to the AVSIM library.

Looking great! It's nice to see repaints start rolling out for this plane so soon. I personally hope to start on some US repaints like Northwest and American sometime in the next few days.

Say what you will about the systems, but boy is this plane a looker!

Awesome. And agreed, she looks amazing inside and out. Tidy up the systems and fix a few bugs and it would be the icing on the cake.

Many thanks, Jon.  I assume it'll be a difficult "paint-kit" - was hoping the more patient 'painters' would persist.

PS:  Nice to 'meet up' with you again.

Lovely repaints Jon thank you!

Great to see repaints starting to appear so quickly for this very nice aircraft.

Its got a few quirks, mostly in the tail and some 'wobbly bits' around the nose but is better than most I think. Experienced painters shouldn't have too many issues.

Hi

Thanks for these.  Is there a trick to get them working with the lite version?

I tried but the textures don't appear to be correct.

Thanks

Good question, didn’t try them in the lite version to be honest. I imagine its in the config file. I will take a look and post details or lite versions if required.
