I am trying to add some objects to in Brisbane using Simdirector in P3D V4.2. I takes very long for Simdirector to load in the first place and once loaded it crashes to the desktop as soon as I place an object from the library. I am using ORBX products and the Australia region.

I tried disabling all addons like AS and using default aircraft but the same thing happens every time. No error code. P3D just shuts down.

Any advise would be appreciated.

I got crashes in P3DV4.2 w/o error or explanation because I had the CMeteoXmlx64.dll enabled in my dll.xml (there are two dll.xml's).  When I disabled the entry in the dll.xml, crashes stopped.

See page 14, AVSIM CTD Guide on how to disable a module (if you happen to have a Carenado product installed).

Did you check both dll.xml's?  Never mind if you do not have any Carenado aircraft installed.

It looks like the problem is ORBX related, after I disabled the ORBX AU entries Simdirector worked fine, but that defeats the object a bit as I want to place the objects in Brisbane . Any other suggestions perhaps.

You might wish to post your question in the FTX/Orbx Forum here on AVSIM or the P3D Forum as you might get more responses from others who have attempted this in the past and might have a solution.  Glad you were able to pinpoint the problem to the Orbx AU entries.
