I have XPlane 11 installed from DVD. The install generates a shortcut on the desktop. I accidentally deleted it from the desktop. It is not in the recycle bin. So I can't restore it. What do I have to do to generate another desktop shortcut? I can run XPlane 11 from the DVD. But its easier from the shortcut.

I assume you know in which location your XP11 has been installed (usually it's the desktop, but maybe you chose a different path during installation).

So, open the main folder where your XP11 resides, search for "x-plane.exe", click and drag it on your desktop (using the _right_ mouse button) and then choose "create shortcut".

 

Or right click on "x-plane.exe" in your root folder and select "send to desktop".

I have gremlins. I swear I looked in the XPlane folder for the XPlane.exe file and it wasn't there. Now it is!
