May 12, 20188 yr Hello, Since I'm flyning with P2Atc, I saw that, at the first air traffic controlleur contact (whatever type of control), the controlleur say:"AirTestxxx good morning, Squwakzzzz" Is it intented? Is it the same for everybody? I expected rather to a sentence like that:"AirTestxxx good morning radar contact, continu your navigation..." (That mean your squwak is in Alt mode.) I saw also when you switch squwak mode to Off, Stby, Active, and again Alt, at the moment the controlleur say "radar contact". What is your opinion about the subject? Vincent
May 12, 20188 yr Commercial Member If you are asked to squawk xxxx when making first contact, then it means you either have the wrong code in the transponder or the Transponder mode in P2A is not set to Active. Some aircraft do not properly change the transponder mode and you must change it in P2A in order to make it Active. If you change to Active or Alt in P2A after being asked to squawk xxxx then it will acknowledge it sees you with the "radar contact" call. Just leave it there and you should not get the "squawk xxx" call again. Dave
May 12, 20188 yr Author OK, I had switched the squawk in "Alt" position before take off, so now I switch it on "Active" position and it's OK. What is the "Alt" position? It's a "test" or "ident" position? Vincent
May 12, 20188 yr Dave, I think he is right, ALT does not work as Altitude mode. I have to keep my in "Active".
May 12, 20188 yr Commercial Member It used to be Test....probably a bug that needs fixing for the next update. Thanks. Dave
