I still don't understand why some people believe that the rendering code in P3d4 is essentially the same as in FSX. Other than possibly Rob, we users have no idea how much legacy code remains. P3d4 compatibility relies mostly on file formats and SDK entries. LM has hardly changed the former and the guts of the latter could range from unchanged to totally new.
