  1. Hello, P3D was updated to V4.3 and it will not let a view be on either one of two projector displays. I have an inclusive cockpit making use of 5 projectors and the other three projectors work. Is there any thoughts on what could be causing P3D to crash when I put a window of P3D into those two displays? The issue is only with V4.3 as we did a regular update to V4.3 and then a clean install after that did not work which also did not fix the issue. When we revert back to V4.2 we do not see this issue. I am posting here in addition to a Prepar3d forum so that I can get as much visibility on the issue as possible. Here is the link to the P3D forum discussion for more insight: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=130317 Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks.
  2. Hello, Does uninstalling P3D automatically get rid of any aircraft add-ons that were downloaded? Similarly, will the scenarios and custom graphical settings be removed when this happens? In File Explorer, ThisPC->documents-> prepar3dv4 has files of scenarios and graphical settings. Should I just save those files to a different folder outside of P3D files? Thanks.
  3. Hey Brett, Thanks for the reply. I will check into what you are saying. I am confused what point you were trying to make with your second comment though, if you could clarify. In regards to why the 7700 and not the 7700K.....it isn't my system unfortunately, so I didn't get to choose what goes into it. Thanks for the help!

  6. Hello, I have posted about a similar topic before, but this is a little different. First and foremost, here are my specs: Case: Cooler Master COSMOS II RC-1200-KKN1 Motherboard: ASRock Z270 SuperCarrier LGA 1151 Power Supply: ENERMAX ERV1000EWT-G 1000W Memory: G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2800 (PC4 22400) (Quantity: 2) Video Cards: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 (Quantity: 4) Processor: Intel Core i7-7700 Kaby Lake Quad-Core 3.6 GHz Disk Drives: Samsung 850 PRO 2.5" 1 TB SATA III Vertical Internal SSD (Quantity: 2) DVD Drive: Intel Black SATA Slim DVD drive Other: ICY DOCK ToughArmor MB994IPO-3SB Hot Swap Mobile Rack Backplane Cage Module Other: ICY DOCK MB994TK-B EZ Slide Mini Tray Drive Tray with Metal Lock for ToughArmor MB991/MB994 series I was told by someone from Lockheed Martin to determine if my low FPS was due to my CPU or GPU. Here is what he said: "One quick test for CPU/GPU boundedness is to shrink windows down to smaller sizes. This typically will improve FPS if you are GPU bound and won't affect it too much if you are CPU bound." I tested out the suggestion to determine CPU/GPU boundedness by shrinking window sizes and see how it affected performance. My results showed that by shrinking 6 undocked views and placing them on the same display, the FPS was increased from 22 to 43. My 7th view took up another display and was a Cockpit view. How could it be a GPU problem with how many GPU's we have. They are not SLI'd and each graphics card runs its own projector for a display. Previously, I was told that the CPU wasn't able to handle everything, and that the GPU's were giving the CPU more work to do. However, through the recommended test I am confused at how the GPU is the problem then. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
  7. In general, were there any significant performance improvements in V4.3?
  8. The below is some further explanation of how I have everything displayed and what I want to accomplish. Hopefully, someone can lead me in the right direction 🙂
  9. The graphics cards are not SLI'd. There is a specific use for each of the graphics cards, due to the fact that I have 4 projectors. I have 11 displays overall. There is a reason I chose the Autobahn :).
  10. Each projector of mine has its own card just like yours, so hopefully that is the best set up. Could you explain what you mean by it being "smoother"? I take smoothness to be the opposite of having stutter. However, from previous comments, stutter was said to have been a direct result of the CPU and not the GPU. But in your case, you say that having each projector on its own card (GPU) makes it more smooth for you. I am new to all of this stuff and am just trying to get terminology down. Thanks :)
  11. Yeah, supposedly the setup has it so that they are each used individually and not linked. There are 4 main displays and 1 display for the control panel that need to be used at maximum performance and realism so that is why 4 were purchased. I still think that there 4 graphics cards should definitely work better, which is why they were bought, but maybe in a different configuration that isn't typical?
  12. I realized there are 4 GTX 1080s not a 960s... which I guess is not even relevant anymore considering what you just said about scaling. That is very unfortunate that it doesn't scale very well... Does it scale at all or just very minimally? This is not my computer, so I will need to respond with what the other specs are in a bit when I find out. Thanks.
  13. How do I create a view with just HUD symbology on a black background? An old post talked about using an existing HUD gauge, but what does that entail? Surely there is an easy way to do this, I assume. Thanks for the help in advance!
