There are times when I want to do a flight but using voice interaction with P2A isn't possible. (wife is working in the office) Is it possible to use P2A using just the "say it" function and never have to verbally interact with the program and not have to open the UI once connected to the sim?

You can use SayIt instead of speaking for an entire flight.

There are several instances where the pilot must speak, either verbally or using SayIt.  Clearance request, Taxi request, Departure request, etc.

The SayIt window would have to be open for you to use SayIt for these requests.
