Black displays midflight

Featured Replies

Started a flight today and took off as normal, LNAV and VNAV worked perfectly, as did both FMCs. At 12000 feet every display went blank, except the backup altimeter and the FMCs. No idea why, everything was set up according to the checklist. Anyone have a fix?

Not at all, no.

Sounds like a lack of electrical power.  Generators on?  Maybe crank up the APU(s) ?

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Welcome to the PMDG forums.  Please note that their rules ask us to sign our full names on all posts.  Saying "everything according to checklist" leaves one wonder what checklist but more importantly this could be an indication of a problem that you should contact PMDG directly to resolve.  The way to do that is to got to PMDG Product Support ( http://support.precisionmanuals.com ), open an account (support accounts are separate from sales accounts) and submit your problem on a trouble ticket.  Hope this helps.

I switched from APU power to Engine Generator power after engine start up, so I don't see a reason why there should be an electrical power problem.

OK, this is gonna sound odd......I just read an older forum post describing your exact problem.  It turned out to be a texture.cfg problem with a livery installed by the OP.  He said he deleted the livery and all was well?  Any chance that you have a new livery causing the problem?
