August 3, 20187 yr Moderator Shortly after the Farnborough Airshow, I read a post either here or at SOH (I can't remember which) in which what appears to be a traditional loop was performed twice. There was some friendly back and forth debating whether it was truly a loop or something that only looked like a loop because of the camera's angle and extreme zoom. I mean, everyone knows a C130J "Super Hercules" can't do a loop, right? Well, this morning I found the definitive answer to the question directly from the aircraft's pilot! https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/lockheed-martin-lm-100j-stunts/index.html Spoiler Turns out it was neither of the above. It was a 'corkscrew'... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

August 3, 20187 yr From the diagram, this "corkscrew" maneuver appears something like a diagonal loop ending in the horizontal plane. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
