August 25, 20187 yr Good afternoon. Switching on the Garmin Trainer I was informed there was a new version and I installed it. Then none of the units installed in my aircraft would switch on. I uninstalled both the trainers and software and then re-installed. I can install the pop-up window for the GTN750 but still won't switch on. I would appreciate any help. Del
August 25, 20187 yr Author Some further information: If I use the auto-detect on the default C172 A/C and accept the changes, then again I get the pop-up but can't switch it on. Also, I can't then revert back to the original GPS?
August 25, 20187 yr Hi, A new GTN Trainer v6.50 was just released a couple days ago and we are working on it. In the meantime, you might want to restore your GTN 6.41.1 installation from a backup. otherwise here is the link to the online v6.41.1 trainer installer: https://securemanifest.garmin.com/avtrainer/GarminTrainerSetup_2.1.0.0.exe (it is possible this downloads the latest 6.50 though). If you don't have a backup handy, and v6.41.1 is no longer available on the Garmin website, you might want to uninstall v6.50 entirely, and install the v6.21 instead: http://download.garmin.com/software/GTN_GDU620PCTrainer_6211.zip
August 26, 20187 yr Author Thanks for the quick reply. I think the link to the v6.41.1 does download the latest version of the trainer. I ended up downloading and installing the v6.21 instead and everything is now working fine. How would I know when and how it's safe to update to the latest version?

Wonder if the databases have been brought closer to current. August 27, 20187 yr @fppilot yes this new trainer includes updated DB cycle 1803 (avtn, safetaxi, obstacle, charts)! Alternatively, you can also extract the 1803 DB from the TXI iPad app .ipa file...
