September 2, 20187 yr As I promised myself, I installed the PMDG MD-11 from my Depository, and set up a (test-flight) - over the just acquired MSE (Utah) - from KCDC (Cedar City) to KSLC (Salt Lake City). Things worked out fine (no complaints from either FSX-SE or this old-gold simulation), but I do need a couple of more practice-flights to remove the remaining wrinkles for flying this amazing aircraft simulation properly. This was a bit exhaustive, but rewarding! The recollections from my KLM MD-11 flight many years ago, where this "solid" aircraft pulled through so admirably in the face of intensive and persistent turbulence at 35K over mid-Atlantic, pushed me on with this exercise today. Meanwhile, of course, I started missing the joy of my FR Super Cub...🙂... I'm using here the Delta Centennial Spirit repaint. As the Official Airline of the 1996 Olympic Games, Delta had unveiled this livery, on a new MD-11 jet painted in a commemorative paint scheme. Centennial Spirit transported the Olympic Flame from Athens (Greece), to Los Angeles, the site of the 1984 Olympics, for the start of the torch relay to the 1996 Games site in Atlanta. Thanks for viewing and good rest of the day to you!
