I finally found a Carenado C90 that has a pop-up HSI. After building the window and reconfiguring  the panel.cfg, there is no gauge. I guess this is a bust and I will have to live with it as is.

 

You can always use this one, available from FS9 to P3D4:

gauge##=Beech_Baron!Horizontal Situation Indicator, 0, 0, 100, 100

Since my last post, A2A provided another update and I re-installed P3Dv4 as a result of additional errors by me. I did a test flight with the G530 that was flawless. I just now installed and updated the G430. The good news is the HSI CDI anomaly has disappeared.
