EFB Send Output

Recommended Posts

I could not find the answer in the manuals, how come the EFB send output is unavailable when finished Take off Calculations. Qualitinwgs you can send FMC V speeds straight to FMS.

Thanks

If memory is correct, I asked this same question and I think I was told that the send output is output to printer.  I then assumed that because the Boeing EFB does not write to the FMS then the simulation does not either.

In the real EFB the SEND OUTPUT button is used to send the output to the aircraft printer, this is why it is not implemented. It is not sending anything to the FMS. The FMS makes it's own computations of V-speeds.

So, just to clarify, in the 787, the EFB can send the output to the FMS, but not in the 748?

He didn't say that. He said the real EFB sends it's output to the aircraft printer. That device is not implemented in this aircraft from PMDG.

Please don't confuse what the 787 or 777 or 737 systems do with the 747 series.

The OP said that the Qualitinwgs 787 sends FMC V speeds to FMS.  This does not mean that the real 787 also does that. I am not familiar with the 787 but I would expect that the Boeing Class 3 EFB we have simulated provides more or less the same functionalities on all Boeing aircraft.
