It's the decisions and reasons for them, especially when they differ from Boeing's!

My employer is extreeeeeemly careful when it comes to work safety. Every hurt finger tip must be reported and then there are actions to be taken to avoid anything to happen twice. Sometimes really annoying as it really hinders from effective work. This goes that far that for several months we have had a postbox for „almost accidents“ where we shall note down things that happened at work that might almost have hurt us.

I currently use to work at machines that have a tool revolver with a secured door. The machine really works and moves slowly but everytime I want to change the tools I have to close the door, turn the revolver one place further, deactivate the CO2 extinguisher, open the door, change the tool, close the door, activate the extinguisher, move the revolver, deactivate the extinguisher.... and so on... it‘s annoying, takes a LOT if time, as the machine can’t even work when the CO2 is turned off... but it‘s safe.

Completely ridiculous and completely different from the manufacturer‘s „SOP“ but hey, that‘s how we have to work.. 😂
