FSX on Network

Featured Replies

Hi,

I recently installed fsx on my computer and have been following frooglesim on youtube for a while. I wanted to ask can we use:

1. Ezdok

2. Rex 4 texture direct

3. Add on airports on a network pc

rather than the main pc running fsx?

Please forgive me if this is not the place to ask. Kindly direct me to the right forum.

Thankyou.

Not sure about 1 or 2, but #3 need to be installed into the host FSX rig.

Years algo when I had a weaker rig I had Active Sky running on a networked computer but on my newest rig I have everything installed on the same computer.

If you’re thinking of doing all this to help performance it probably won’t make much difference if you have a pretty new and fairly powerful rig. I’m on an older 2700K and 64bit OS and my performance is fine running everything from one computer.

Depending on the spec of your PC there is very little to be gained perfomance wise by putting your add ons on another PC. I have two PCs and everything is on my Flight Rig, I use the second PC for recording videos so don't suffer any frame drops while recording.
