Lots of good memories from there....like sneaking back home on marginal VFR acceptance from the tower because the marine layer had moved in when I should have diverted. It paid to get to know the tower staff and buy them coffee at the upstairs restaurant. November 11, 20187 yr Author During the week, it's not to bad but, Can get pretty busy with the Jet traffic at times. Nothing like you describe any more. There is a restaurant and such. The marine layer sucks! Sometimes i can't get out of there till about 11:00 in the a.m. Sometimes even then i feel like im Scud running, LOL. It is a good airport though, lots of good people around. Tower staff very professional and forgiving. Cant really get to know them because of restrictions. But since i'm based there, they pretty much know the regulars. Thanks again Ted! November 11, 20187 yr BEST PLACE ??? .... Defiantly Microcenter.. Not even Frys can beat them now. So now they match prices from authorized dealers; but Frys has become much of a giant whorehouse with "forklift" workers. Though they have almost anything you look for, they're employees are very cheap in knowledge and customer service. On the other hand Microcenter has outstanding quality, stock, people,low prices, and amazing return policy. E-bay= Giant Flee market; filled with fake and scams (avoid, avoid, avoid) Amazon= Good online seller, good service, but sells things more expensive New-egg= Have become too greedy and their prices are sky-high Tiger Direct= Fallen angle. They lost to Newegg and have become low to no stock in items and expensive.
