August 31, 200619 yr Hi all - I'm looking for some really good modern commuter aircraft. I don't care if it's freeware or payware. I've heard that the Flight1 ATR 72-500 and the Majestic Software Dash 8 are good. Are there any good jets out there? Thanks for the info.
August 31, 200619 yr The Flight One ATR is one of my absolute favorites. Great panel, gauges, and panel layout choices. Awesome flight dynamics. An all-around excellent turboprop commuter.Regarding jets. I personally don't find any of the current commuter jets worth purchasing. I don't have any freeware planes installed, so I can't comment on those. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
August 31, 200619 yr I sort of like the HS.748 by Rick Piper et al. Although the HS.748 is more of a 1960's and 1970's turboprop (It was succeeded by the BAe ATP in the 1980's) it's fairly modern.FSX will include a CRJ as one of the stock aircraft.Seems like there is a BAe Jetstream 31 around that is pretty good, too.RhettAMD 3700+ powered by Gerbil wheel + gerbil, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 gigs Corsair TWINX, blah blah, etc. etc. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
September 1, 200619 yr FeelThere has a pretty good ERJ145, which they also just released a Legacy version. Flight Factory Simulations will be releasing a Saab 340 (A,B,Argus, and Cargo variants) shortly. Looks like it will be a good one. Dana Palmer
September 1, 200619 yr Author Don't forget about POSKY's CRJ's. The best panel for those is the Skyworks CRJ panel (not very system intensive but very good looking). Also, Matthias Lieberecht has released several versions of a RJ85 panel that is very detailed. Jon Murchison's aircraft is probably the best with that panel.
