FS Demo the Alternative Video

Featured Replies

Hi Gang,I take it you are all aware by now of the alternative demo news flash for FSX made by an independent guy.it is in German, with English subtitles, along with spanish subtitles etc.I can't post the link here for obvious reasons, but if you want the link them PM me, and I will send it to you.I watched it three times in a row, and thought it was hilarious, I was crying with laughter.it hits home about some serious issues and points, and I bet MS have been made aware of it, but, I think even they must have a sense of humour, and would no doubt have seen the funny side of it, well, hopefully they did.I thought the guy did a fantastic job with the clip, and the subtitles are very very funny.Just a Heads Up for you.

Hello Michael.whilst I fully agree in one perspective regarding your comment, it is leaving me to believe that you might have accidentally taken the video out of context.it was meant to be, and in fact, is a spoof of the up-coming FSX.we all know that what we had so far was a "work in progress" demo, but that being said, I do feel that MS have left themselves open for this.Remember FS2000!, and all the issues people had.if we all end up with a hobby/interest that we can't laugh about, then I feel that perhaps we should find something different.I do know a certain individual in the organisation who works on this side of the pond, and he assures me that they absolutely loved it, and a majority of them fell about the floor laughing.if you would be so kind as to click on the link posted above to the other section of these same forums, you will see what I mean, there was not one derogatory comment in there regarding this clip being taken any other way than what was intended, if you think about it, there was some considerable work involved in the wording, and timing of the wording for this clip. One last point Michael, please do remember that we, the paying public, spend a lot of money on this hobby in one form or another. Then there is the fact that a majority of us will have to buy New PC's in order to run FSX, there is also the cost of the operating system, which will HAVE to be Vista Ultra, if you want to run FSX in 64bit and fully loaded, it's going to be a very expensive "Game" for some to up-grade to!

I thought it was spoof on us. :) It is a scary thought that we have simmers who feel the video is "spot on" and finally the truth is told. Of course why should I wonder; we still have 10% of the population in the America who believe Elvis is still alive!LOL. I was associated with full scale commercial simulators for many years. The FS series delivers an unbelievable program on a PC platform for $70 bucks. It is amusing to read the comments of those whose expectations are without reason. I am amazed at the wonderful community that produces spectacular add-on's from a very simplistic model. Thank you FS team and I can't wait to see what serendipity brings in the future!!Bob....Having fun in Tongass Fjord!!!
