August 28, 200619 yr I am a regular simmer. I don't work for RealAir, but after installing the RealAir Spitfire, the Decathalon, and the fabulous 260 Marchetti into the FSX Demo, I am convinced that RealAir has the "secret" to wonderfully fluid Virtual Cockpits and Gauges, spectacular flight models, and just great flying fun.In FSX, they are a joy to fly, look at, and above all, they "perform" with the frame expectation, visual expectation that could be the greatness of our next flight sim chapter. If you own these planes, move them to the FSX Demo, and make sure you pull the appropriate "textures" located in the TEXTURE folder of FS9 to the texture folders of the planes you put into SimObjects/airplanes. Make sure you've moved your gauge folder and effects folder over as well.PLEASE MICROSOFT....partner, if possible, with the folks at RealAir, and together, I believe the sim will be well beyond our expectations. This, of course, is my personal opinion. I just know what I'm seeing!
August 28, 200619 yr If it makes you feel better, Microsoft has worked with 3rd party freeware & payware developers in the past, during the beta process. As to this time around, I don't have a clue; but it's certainly possible.L.Adamson
August 28, 200619 yr Author I must agree that flying the RealAir Spitfire in FSX is a pleasure. I followed the instructions on how to move the Spit over from a previous thread and I am having a blast with it. I do have one question for others that have moved the Spitfire into FSX. Is your artificial horizon working properly? I've double checked that I had moved all of the appropriate texture files over from FS2004, but still no luck. Every other gauge is working correctly. Any suggestions? Thanks,Dave David Webster AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D | G.Skill 32GB DDR4 3600Mhz | EVGA RTX 3080 Ti @ 3440X1440 | Crucial 2TB M.2 | Win11
