If you change the path in scenery.cfg then yes, it will work. But P3D loading times will be substantially longer. The solution is to get a bigger SSD.

I don't understand the reference to unzipping files. FSG has an installer. It's the location of the installed files that needs changing in scenery.cfg.

I apologise  for the confusion.  I will try to explain in more detail in order to obtain a precise answer

I have d/loaded all the files

I have unzipped the files using the installer

All  files have succesfully being installed and registered within P3D

Can I move the folder named FSUNGFTX_DL_SC to a external storage drive?

I assume that the folder  named FSGU_NG is the main folder in which the world continents are installed and stored

@clive6354, if the file FSUNGFTX_DL_SC is the downloaded zip file then yes, it can be moved anywhere.

The folder FSGU_NG probably does contain a scenery subfolder and that is where you will find numerous BGL files used in P3D.

Ray is spot on. I moved mine to an external drive and yes the load times are significantly longer. As Ray said, either suffer the load times or have tons of fun bringing up a bigger ssd. I will say that every time I did a new install I got rid of bloat that I wasn't using. That is a good thing.

Incidentally Clive, I don't know if you hav seen this topic but it does show the massive benefit of 3rd party mesh. With Ultimate you will see more detail than I posted in my shots using FS Global 2010.
