Hello When I open FTX Central 2 I see the England scenery listed alongside Scotland and Wales but I do not have a CONFIGURE option for England. I only have a configure option for Scotland and Wales. Is this correct?

Hello I am reading the Introductory manual regarding OOM and VAS. I have taken the opportunity to monitor the VAS useage using FSUIPC. I have entered in the logging section 024C and Type S32 and read the amount of VAS on the title bar The amount of VAS in Kb shown on the title bar differs from the reading in "Process Explorer" Why is this? Hi I have 16Gb Ram with an I7 processor FSX-Steam, 64bit Windows 7 Since I have installed the PMDG 777-200 & 300 I am experiencing problems with OOM (maybe this is a coincidence) Previous I only had the PMDG 737-800 installed. I have not experimented yet taking out the B777, would this make any difference in the amount of VAS used? I am reading and implementing the PMDG and Word Not Allowed's reccommendations. i am using "Process Explorer" to monitor my VAS use A couple of question in mind Does RAAS have any effect on VAS If I delete all aircraft models not used would this save on VAS Does not having a Pagefile help with OOM errors? Does Networking utilities save on VAS useage? I use ORBX global and vector textures REX 4 with soft clouds UK2000 sceneries ASN TOPCAT PFPX FSTRAMP (high VAS use??) FSCOMMANDER The last two utilities are simialr,in respect of moving map display which one is best in terms of VAS use? Clive Alexander

Hello I have noticed that the First officer displays ( PFD,NDs &CDU) are blank, althoug they do display if I centre click them. I expect that I have turned them off but I cannot find how to turn them back on. I have tried to adjust settings in the PMDG SETUP OPTIONS even tried to selt PMDG default setting but no joy/ What have I missed? where and how can I turn the displays on again?. Hi again I have solved my problem silly me...I did not realise that the ECL display panel pops out I would like to try "Track IR" but so expensive and cannot make up my mind if it any use with a single monitor or is it more suited to dual monitors Clive Alexander

Hello I am using the fantastic B777-300 When viewing the ECL display I find it very awkward that the various settings for the display are are positioned far over on the right of the MCP display. At the moment I do not use Track IR which will probably make viewing of the ECL display easier The only way I can think of viewing the ECL settings is bring up the EFIS MCP RIGHT panel Is it possible to change the position of the ECL display? Is there an easier way to view the ECL screen ECL settings? Should I get "Track IR" even with only one monitor Any advice most welcome Clive Alexander

I may be wrong but although users talk about frame rates relating to performance. I would say set frame rates to about 30 and do not worry too much if they start to go low as long as the performance keeps up Clive

Hi I have a similar setup i7-4790 16GB Ram 250 SSD (wished I had gone for larger) GTX950 As well as 737 NGX I am running ORBX software (Global, Vector & Europe) ASN and REX. With settings close to max I am achieving 30 frames per second and have not seen it go below 20 as yet although I am still installing and testing software. I have installed GEX + UTX but not very impressed and dissapointed with the quality even with all the settings set to maximum I was hoping for better I have been looking at FTX GLOBAL very costly but is it much better. I have installed the demo Iceland package, I like it. Can anyone inform me if the demo Iceland package is typical quality of the entire Global package? If so I was thinking of purchasing FTX GLOBAL & VECTOR and possibly Europe LandClass. (cost me at least £100) My system can take it as I have i7 processer and GTX 950 Graphics card and 16Gb Ram Is it worth the pressure on my wallet? Hello I am in the process of setting up my new FSX STEAM system, all is going well. I have a few payeware airports and various utilities I will not be doing a lot of VFR flying but have been looking at payware software which provide scenery textures. I am looking for software that improves the default textures but no over expensive. I have been looking at FTX GLOBAL very nice but can mount up in price with the different additions. Any personal preferences or advice on any other scenery texture software would be most welcome Clive Alexander

Hello I am installing FS STEAM. When I install shall I accept the default path from within STEAM or should I install it to C:\FSX (if it will allow me ) How do I select a different path from within STEAM, it appears to only allow the default path? Clive Alexander

You could, however, use a dual-screen setup with FSX / P3D on one, and your utilities on another. They would however be running on the same computer. If I was to use a dual screen setup how would I configure one keyboard to work between FSX and the utilities programs? In my opinion I do not know if this would be possible and even if it was it may be very confusing and present problems whilst in flight. Maybe it is best to use two computers, two monitors and two keyboards

When i receive my new system i plan to network the main aircraft software with various utilities. Is it possible to network using one computer and two monitors or do i have to use two computer systems and two monitors? Clive Alexander

Hello Everyone I purchased the 737NGX software in May 2012 but was not able to use it as I made an error and did not have the specifications to use it. I am now in the process of buying a new system with the required specifications. I plan to use FSX STEAM I understand that I require service pack 1D in order for the 737NGX to work with FSX STEAM. If I go to "MY PREVIOUS ORDERS" page and re-dowload the 737NGX software will this contain service pack 1D or do i have to d/load the service pack seperately? I cannot see the location of the service pack so assume that re-dowload of the software contains the service pack Guidance and advice is appreciated Clive Alexander

Hello I have decided on my specification for new computer system for FSX and 737NGX I already have the disks for FSX but was wondering if it would be an idea to purchase and install the Steam edition instead of the original FSX Is there any problems with the STEAM edition and 737NGX? The ssd hard drive size wa what i could afford however your comments about size makes me wonder whether to go for a 500Gb drive normal speed Clive alexander.
