Intermittent Sound Clicks with USB Soundbar

Does it only do it P3D or with other programs? You said it made that click sound in both P3D 4.3 and 4.4? By chance did you try adding the following to your [Sound] in your P3D.cfg to see if that helped. If all else fails than RMA the sound bar.

[sound]
time_constant=0;

The sound glitches can happen anywhere, not only P3D but also iTunes and Youtube. I will try the line when I get back to my PC.

Thanks.

Still didn’t get time to add the line.

But may I know which version of the NVIDIA driver are you using? Which motherboard and which BIOS version? I saw many online discussions claiming that the graphics driver may cause the audio issue, although I am using USB connection...

I can get you the info but I know two other users with different boards, drivers etc that are not having the issue. You should be able to plug in the SB and not have to go through this process.

Thanks for getting back. I agree with you that the SB should be hassle-free. A large difficulty of mine is that I am not sure whether the issue is caused by my hardware or software (especially the BIOS and driver). Anyway I would try to add the line first, and update BIOS of necessary.

I has this with a usb sennheiser headphones and there support was outstanding.

Solved the problem by giving the headphones a motherboard usb port rather than off a hub and increasing the power available by powering off other items. And the obligatory driver reinstall.

I suggest you check to see if you are borderline on your power and give it a root usb port

My soundbar has been connected to motherboard USB port.

May I know if your issue was also intermittent? Did that occur few times a minute?

Really hope I could have get the good service like yours...

It has really been a long time...I finally got a replacement unit, the issue unfortunately still persists....

I now believe that the culprit is on software side...
