Thanks for sharing Matt. I was glued to that video until I saved it for later. Miss my PMDG MD-11 already as it's been a couple years. I had a LOT of fun in that plane.. I think it was the first of their jets I purchased.

This is really interesting and informative. The PMDG MD-11 is one of my favourite airplanes  and makes a nice change to fly now and again from the 747/777. Very useful for future reference.

Amazing how close the simulation is to the real flight deck - virtually identical, but there are a number of features/buttons which don't function on the simulation, weather radar being a big miss. 

FMS set up mirrors exactly with the simulation and there are a few extra features which the video explains and points out, which I'll check on my next MD-11 flight. It would have been clearer to show the flight plan with the discontinuities deleted.

The flightplan on this video shows a LOOP7 SID from KLAX with the next waypoint being DAG (DAGGET). I can't find this departure on the SID/STARS for KLAX.

Does anyone know if this has been superseded? The video is dated 2016 so there's a possibility it has been, but unusual if so.
