August 7, 200619 yr >"FSX goes up to 100 million feet?">>The question may then become:>>Why?Simple, that's about the height you need to get the whole earth in view.
August 7, 200619 yr Strange question. You do realise that the thinning atmosphere is also modelled in FS2004, don't you?If the atmosphere didn't get less dense in FS9 as you got higher then it would not be realistic at all. In fact from memory even FS3 had a thinning atmosphere.I imagine that the atmosphere will reach a density of 0 once you reach it's edge in FSX. If I'm wrong I'm sure tdragger will correct me.James
August 7, 200619 yr Author One thing that interests me is that one of the missions you have to race a rocket powered truck, now does this mean that rocket engines will be modelled in FSX or not?Interesting thought anyway.Craig
August 7, 200619 yr Aren't you the same person asking us to think liberally when it comes to add-ons for fsx? That it won't be so bad once the thrid-party vendors get involved? So why p!ss on this idea that he might be able to have a 'whole new fs prespective [sic]'I for one would welcome something like this... Maybe we can't put a satellite in orbit because we're about 4000 miles short, but just think, a real Space Shuttle mission? Wow, vatsim might have to deal with the space simulation people just as SATCO did back in the day! And that's a good thing.
