August 5, 200619 yr Will the incorrect time zone curse be fixed this time?Aybehttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpg Andy Brockbank
August 5, 200619 yr Not sure what that is... but I hope when I choose airport for departure that the FS clock can be set to the local time.Eg, I live in Sydney Australia, but say I want to depart Rome then I would like option for time at Rome to be the actual Rome local time. Maybe FS2004 can do this already... I dont know.
August 6, 200619 yr What I was referring to here was the problem Denis Thompson has fixed over numerous versions of Fs where the timexzones were out of synch for example Adelaide in South Australia is 9.5hrs+ UTC whereas Sydney is 10hrs+UTC. In FS they were both in the same zone.Aybehttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpg Andy Brockbank
August 6, 200619 yr Author the problem Denis Thompson has fixed over numerous versions of FsI think that is your answer.Especially since FSX will ship with 2006, or 2005, time zone data and major parts of the world will change their DST settings in 2007.MS has always provided a general framework - and allowed others to spend the dozens, maybe hundreds, of manhours on the detail work to tweak the sim for local variances / changes.Since an almost perfect solution already exists - I don't expect them to spend the money to fix a problem which affects very few people who really care about anomolies. Not with a free, and very excellent, solution available.
