March 4, 20197 yr I was wondering it someone would tell me their experience with each. I have the DVD version and have been playing it in VR for about a year. I have upgraded my computer a few times and now have a computer that will handle VR very well. I was thinking of moving to the Steam addition but want some input first. Thanks Harry
March 4, 20197 yr I cant speak to the DVD version, but the Steam version works very well. AF is the sim I enjoy the most in VR. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... March 5, 20197 yr Author Thanks for your reply. I did not mention I have serveral addons that I purchased online for the DVD version. I can not find any info on if they can be used with the Steam version. Harry

March 6, 20197 yr You should probably just make sure that Aerosoft stuff is going into your Documents folder in the Aerofly FS 2/Addons/Scenery Subfolder It does not need to go to your Steam Folder We are all connected..... March 8, 20197 yr Author One more question. I also have FSX and use the VR for that as well. Is there a benefit to the Steam version from a performance standpoint. Thanks Harry
March 9, 20197 yr Certainly the steam version seems the most convenient, and it also has several fixes from dovetail that apparently make it the better choice. https://fsxinsider.com/transitioning-from-boxed-fsx-to-fsxse-part-1-fsx-stripback/ https://fsxinsider.com/transitioning-from-boxed-fsx-to-fsxse-part-2-installing-fsxse/ We are all connected.....
