March 19, 20197 yr Hello. I recently purchased the QW787. I tried to do 3 flights, with each crashing in the climb. By crash I mean a BSOD error (CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT). I am not technical so I do not know where to start. Any help is much appreciated. Jed
March 19, 20197 yr It means your CPU overclock is bad. Return your BIOS to the default or Optimal Defaults. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! March 19, 20197 yr Commercial Member Yeah, Jim nailed it. It can also be caused by overheated/faulty components on the motherboard, but I'd bet that it's your overclock settings. If you're not over clocked, it's time for a serious system diagnostic. If you're not up for that, then I'd take the system to a computer repair shop and have them look at it... or you could just replace the motherboard... it will be the same or lower cost than having a shop fix it. March 19, 20197 yr Author Hi Jim, Dave. Thank you for your prompt replies. How do I return BIOS to normal? Thanks Jed
March 19, 20197 yr When you start up your computer, you should see a msg that states to hit the delete key continuously or maybe the F2 key. You should then see the BIOS. Go to Exit and you should see an option to save your settings as the Optimal Default. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
