New improved scenery objects

Featured Replies

Hi,Is there a list of new or improved scenery objects in FSX?I have seen screenies of Ayres rock, Eifel tower, Grand Canyon, the elephants in Africa (or India...didn't notice their ears!), Seattle (to be expected) but that's about it so far... I have read that we will get some more full detail airports ( as well as improved generic detail airports )... does anyone know which ones?I have to say I am more excited about this release than any of the previous! The future is looking good for us FS fanatics!Paul

I can only go by screenshots and what has been shown in the videos. It's always fun when a new version comes out to see what has been upgraded :)

LOL, I can see it now, the flames to MS that the elephants are indian elephants and should NOT be in Africa, LOL (personally I hope they modeled African elepnats, much more impressive, LOL)Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/tfbeta.jpg

I am sure that as the addon developers start their work... we'll see a Noah's Ark load of animals roaming the planet.Maybe there'll be a package similar to Ultimate Traffic... Ultimate Animals?? LOL! (migratory plans??)Paul

Actually I have an idea for an add-on but I'll keep it under wraps so no one steals my idea, it'll be something cool though :). Something no-one else has done before.

Cool...I Hope it all comes together and works out good for you.Everything that makes our simulated world more dynamic and interesting is a major plus for flight simulator.I like the idea of these missions as well... not much for rescuing offshore workers.. but more the idea of "why do pilots fly?" which is, in 95% of cases to accomplish some kind of goal:- moving passengers on time, getting your fresh mangoes to the supermarket, taking your friends to the beach, getting the CEO to his meeting in Zurich etc etc.If FS apeals to a wider audience, then the core base of enthusiasts (us) will expand, sales of addons will grow therefore more developers will enter the market and the whole thing will continue getting better.Cheers,Paul

One of the ideas i certainly approve of is the improved multiplayer system. Hearing news about being able to take the role of a ATC or pilot is just so thrilling. Think about it, it probably spells the end of sector files for IVAO and VATSIM. Ground controllers will have a sudden increase.

Already done in FS9 by the UKVFR team, and I have discussed with them about a VOZ pack of animated objects.
