April 9, 20197 yr Hi Dave, I posted this message on the X-ATC-Chatter forum and Mark asked me to post this here in case you had some advice: I'd like to verify my approach to controlling the density of the chatter I'm getting on a given frequency. For example, I'm flying out of a small class D field (KLEB) so the level of traffic I'm hearing on the Ground and Tower frequencies is unrealistically high. In order to make this more reasonable, I've resorted to adjusting the Pause to something quite large like 90 seconds. That is pretty realistic for these small fields but when I tune to Boston Center, I have to pause the game and drop the time-between back to around 5 seconds. Is this the best I can do? Am I missing anything as to how this program is designed to work? This seemed to work well except that the largest pause I can enter is 99 seconds which is much too small anyway for small class G/E fields and is inappropriate of other frequencies like Boston Center. Any suggestions? Thanks so much! -mark X-Plane 12, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Nvidia RTX 5090, Asus ROG Strix X870E-E mb, 96GB DDR5 (6800MHz), 4TB SSD, Triple Monitor 1440p, Windows 11, FliteSim CLS-120 Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo, TurtleBeach VelocityOne Pedals, RealSimGear G1000 Suite, PropWash Radio Stack, Tobii Tracker 5, Asus Xonar U5 sound card.
April 9, 20197 yr Commercial Member The way you're doing it is the only option for now. I'll investigate and see if there is something that can be reasonably put on the future enhancements list. Dave

April 11, 20197 yr +1 I think even the current 90 sec pause is not working properly. System Spec 1: Nvidia RTX 4090, AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Res 5120x1440, HP Reverb G2System Spec 2: AMD Radeon RX 7900XT, Intel I-9 9990K, Res 3840x1080, HP Reverb G2
April 11, 20197 yr Commercial Member Did you set the Minimum pause to 85 and the maximum to 90? The pause time is supposed to be selected randomly between those two numbers. The max will be raised to 360 (6 minutes) in the next update. Dave Edited April 11, 20197 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC
April 15, 20197 yr Author Hello Dave, Yes, I have the min and max values set as you describe. That works well. 6 minutes would be even better. Thank you very much!
