Terrain anomalies

Featured Replies

I have noticed little pieces of terrain appearing in the air directly in front of my aircraft at times during final approach. This does not seem to be related to any particular scenery package, as I have seen it when flying in the ORBx TrueEarth GB South region and also PlayHorizon VFR Photographic Scenery regions. I have also noticed it at a handful of different airports (from different developers). Has anyone else noticed anything like this? For the record, I am using P3D v4.4.

Little pieces of terrain, or as I would describe it there are brief flashes of a polygon with terrain textures.  Yes, but I only get these approaching an older FSDT airport such as KIAH.  I suspect moving the terrain mesh slider to the left might fix those but I'm keeping mine at 5 m and just ignoring the artifacts.

Yes, that sounds like the same issue, Dan. I have seen this at old or new airports (including Digital Design EGGP Liverpool), so I am not really sure why it has suddenly started to happen. I do not recall seeing anything like this with P3D v4.3.
