May 3, 20197 yr FSFX vs ENVDIR: Which has better special effects for the PMDG 737 and 747? I have both currently with the special effects setting on ENVDIR turned off, but I'm wondering if I should uninstall the FSFX packages in favor of just running ENVDIR, or if the FSFX immersion packages really are better. I have them both, and I can't see how they are comparable as they do entirely different things. ENVDIR is merely the interface for ENVTEX and ENVSHADE and therefore does not do anything in the sim. ENVTEX and ENVSHADE do not affect the aircraft. FSFX aircraft effects are absolutely superb. Best wishes! May 3, 20197 yr I tried the Envdir aircraft effects and had to laugh when my A2A Bonanza suddenly had these massive 777-sized tire tracks and wet marks.
