May 12, 20197 yr Will buying a new higher spec graphic card increase my fps in P3Dv4 ?. I'm thinking Nvidia 1650 or 1660. More towards the 1650 because I don't want to buy bells and whistles that P3Dv4 can't take advantage of. I currently have a Nvidia GTX 650 and I would appreciate any advice and/or experience if upgrading a graphic card really does improve the fps.
May 12, 20197 yr Depending on your CPU. But generally, yes, switching from a GPU like the GTX 650 to a GTX 1660 will for sure increase your FPS. If it is worth, well this is depending on your budget, the resolution you use, the remaining hardware of your computer and the settings and addons of P3D. The best results would be: 1) to get a CPU with super duper single core performance in an area of 5GHz.... 2) a GPU with lots of VRAM My CPU in the signature (max. 4,00GHz) does not feed my GTX970 enough data. While my CPU is maxed out, the GPU is mostly below 50% (the VRAM is full though......). Gerald K. - Germany AMD 7800x3D / ASUS ROG X670E-Gaming / ASUS Strix RTX 3090 OC / 64 Gb RAM GSKILL.
