May 18, 20197 yr Anyone experiencing problems with CTD on initial loading the program? Been running a stable system for a long time suddenly this. No hardware changes. Torfi
May 18, 20197 yr Update your version of x-plane! Why on Earth are you running such an old build? If you have been keeping up to date with your other system patches and driver updates, but fail to also update x-plane along the way, you are eventually going to run into compatible problems.
May 18, 20197 yr Author Sorry it's a typo I'm running 11.34r1, also installed the latest beta same result. Deleted prefs, removed plugins, removed addon aircraft, disabled Gameplay nothing, still crashes. In fact crashes faster with fresh prefs and no plugins. end of log: 0:00:00.000 D/HID: HID Bridge Running --=={This application has crashed!}==-- Edited May 18, 20197 yr by torfih Torfi
May 19, 20197 yr it crashes faster because it has less to load. I checked the error message, but you ony provided the last line, this will make it difficult. Please upload the complete log.txt as attachment. Edited May 19, 20197 yr by soaring_penguin
May 19, 20197 yr Author I don't know how to attach a file, can't see an obvious reason for the crash in the log file.I've installed a fresh copy of X Plane on the same drive and it runs OK. So it's not hardware related. Edited May 19, 20197 yr by torfih Torfi
May 19, 20197 yr Third party content is the culprit in 95% of the cases. Either an incompatibility or simply too much (memory overload) of it. A lot of time it is due to custom scenery installed, too. If all else fails you have to start over with a "vanilla" (absolutely ZERO third party content) X-Plane installation to rule out a hardware problem (bad memory, etc) and then go from there... Cheers, Jan
May 19, 20197 yr Author Found the culprit after 4hours+, Custom Data folder had some bad files in it. I'm using Navigraph airac Data Manager, but after this I'm doing manual updates, don't trust that application any more. Edited May 19, 20197 yr by torfih Torfi
