Good afternoon, I've uninstalled and re-installed the QW Add-on. Now the contents of the log file are this:

The GTN750 works fine in a pop-up window but I still can't open up the Configuration Panel. I've tried various combinations of Shift/Ctrl right-clicking with no success.

Mistake

I'm not sure if this has a bearing on the problem but if I delve into my main FSX folder, then into Sim Objects/Aircraft, and then into the various QW BAe 146 folders nowhere is there a Reality.GTN configuration file.

@dels You can copy RealityXP.GTN.ini from any other aircraft.

Thanks for the advice but it didn't work. I still can't alter the Coniguration Panel by altering the file from another aircraft. It doesn't matter too much because the pop-up works well enough anyway. It's just how do I know if it's up to date or not for example. Also, if I wanted to use TAWSA or B?

Hi, the panels for the various models are aliased to a QW Avro Common panel folder. eg there's a Panel RJ: (there's a further 5 panel folders all very similar)

@dels I just installed the 750 into the 146. There's something about the aircraft that's preventing the gauge settings from opening. Shift+Left clicking works ok to resize the gauge thou but not Shift+Right. Will have to investigate more.

I have it working now. Here's what you have to do.

Example.
1. Download and install BAe 146-100 FSX/P3D: Aspen Airways **QWHDT**
2. Select Aspen livery. Select GTN 750 as popup window only.
3. This will write to the panel.cfg file located in ...\SimObjects\Airplanes\QualityWings Avro Common\panel.146_100_200_HD.
4. Go to the folder containing the Aspen livery. ...\SimObjects\Airplanes\QualityWings BAe146-100 then to the panel folder here: ...\panel.146-100_200_HD. Backup the panel.cfg. It's the one with the alias.
5. Go to ...\SimObjects\Airplanes\QualityWings Avro Common\panel.146_100_200_HD copy that panel.cfg file to the panel folder of the Aspen livery; ...\panel.146-100_200_HD.

Also you'll need to copy the panel bmp's from the Common\panel.146_100_200_HD panel folder to the same panel folder as the backed up panel.cfg file; ...\panel.146-100_200_HD.

Hi,

Thank you Bill for helping in with this issue. I'm glad this is all sorted out now too.

Since we're working on the next update and closing in the release, and we're making a few changes to the Panel Assistant, can you please shed some light about what is particular to this panel.cfg/aircraft which fails the GTN? Is this because the panel.cfg is using an alias, or the aircraft.cfg using aliases?

The panel.cfg files are using an alias.

alias=QualityWings Avro Common\panel.146_100_200_HD.

Within the Common folder are 6 panel folders. The 6 folders are for each of the 3 BAe models in HD and SD making 6 total.
In each of these 6 folders are the panel bitmaps and the panel.cfg files that contain the panel configurations and where the RXP sections are added.

The panel.cfg files using the alias are in the aircraft panel folders.

When installing a gauge using the panel assistant it doesn't create a RealityXP.GTN.ini file. So you have to copy the panel.cfg file with the RXP sections from the Common panel folder over to the aircraft panel folder then open the popup gauge and Shift+Right click to create the RealityXP.GTN.ini file.
