Vader Immortal: & Surprising new item(s) in Oculus Home

Featured Replies

With writing from David S. Goyer, voice acting by Maya Rudolph, and immersion on a cinematic scale, Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series from ILMxLAB represents an exciting new entry in the Star Wars canon. When Episode I launched alongside Oculus Quest last month, Esquire noted that “Vader Immortal looks absolutely stunning and has a lightsaber experience good enough to live up to your childhood dreams of being a Jedi Master.” And now, that same experience is available on the Rift Platform—in more ways than one.

Starting today, everyone on the Rift Platform will get both a red and a green lightsaber as a free interactive item in Oculus Home!

In Vader Immortal Episode I, you step inside the shoes of a smuggler and navigate the dangers of Darth Vader’s fortress on the volcanic planet of Mustafar. While you’re not exploring the experience’s story-driven elements or palling around with your trusty droid companion, ZO-E3, you can hone your skills in the Lightsaber Dojo—an open-ended experience to continue your training. Though, of course, there’s more than one way to get your hands on the weapon of a Jedi Knight...

Outside of Vader Immortal, you can wield your trusty red and green lightsabers from the comfort of your customized Oculus Home. We’ve also worked closely with ILMxLAB on achievements that unlock some pretty cool Home items, with plans to do even more for Episodes II and III.

We hope you enjoy today’s Home update as much as we do, because the Force is strong with this one.
