I'm surprised to see that they were still 'finger-flipping' the props to start the engines. Using a battery powered drill with a soft rubber 'cone' is much safer.

Hand propping is more of a risk, but with nitro/gas and especially diesel engines, electric starters risk damage to internals if the cylinder/cylinders are hydro-locked.  Many still prefer hand propping.
