July 29, 20196 yr Hi Chris, Yes the latest genuine Reality XP GTN 750/650 Touch is compatible with the latest GTN Trainer 6.62. The later ships with he Garmin Trainer installer 2.5.0.0 which also includes a complete set of database cycle 1809. The DB is a little more recent (1809 with trainer 6.62 vs 1803 with trainer 6.50) and also includes Canada charts in addition to US charts. They used to ship rather up-to-date DB sets in the past with each GTN trainer release, and 1809 is not too old either all things considered. As a matter of fact, I'm confident at least 95% of the procedures are the same as with the current cycle. Edited July 29, 20196 yr by RXP

Therefore I would suggest that given that the intention is that real world users use the "Trainer" to practice for using their GNSS, the fact the database is a little out of date is not important.
