July 31, 20196 yr Hi there, on button control, the system will do "my" (PF) callouts, so on takeoff he will say "Man-Flex, SRS, Runway" when I push the key. But I noticed that "he" will call "Runway" even if there is no runway guidance system for takeoff available on an airport and the FMA thus doesn't show "RWY". Don'T know if it's a bug or just a limitation of the system we will have to accept, (because how will the system know this when it can't actually "read" the PFD)? I dont' use voice commands, so I don't know how it reacts if you'd just don't say "Runway" on T/O.... but for the key controlled version, it will always say "runway". Stu
July 31, 20196 yr Commercial Member It's just a limit. The FO is blind. He's can't "see" the FMA like you can. So when I programmed it I just assumed Runway was there in the FMA. For the FMA callouts when doing the PM tutorial, I was able to guess what the FMA callouts would be, so that's why they're semi accurate on the PM tutorial when flying. B.
