Thanks for the information regarding the ATC frequencies, although I'm sure that someone here recently stated that he is never handed over from approach to tower ? :-hmmmAnyway, with respect to the thrust reversers, I wasn't talking about the animation. I was referring to the sound effects, and also the general believability of the braking effect. The FU3 Beechjet is great in that respect, but I assume from your words that this has been sorted out for FS2004 jets ? All I know is that I tried several airliners and business jets (freeware) in FS2002, and many of them didn't seem to have working thrust reversers AT ALL !And yes, I am well aware that some jets do NOT have thrust reversers :-)

In either case, the menu choices will include the appropriate frequency, i.e., tower or unicom.Sounds on TR are not the responsibility of the sim, but rather the responsibility of whoever records the sounds and creates the sound.cfg file. One can of course, be "lazy" and simply alias sounds to one of the default aircraft, but that's a poor choice to make, IMHO.A few - but by no means all - freeware releases address the "total package," which includes model, textures, flight dynamics, sounds, panel and gauges, and effects. Most payware releases are "total packages."

For example, if you have passed from radar control into tower controlled airspace, does the approach controller instruct you to "contact (airport) tower on (airport tower frequency)" ? Or are you just presented with a menu, from which you make a selection, switch frequencies, and then contact the tower ?I just want to be clear, because there IS a difference :-)
