January 7, 200620 yr I would say rather than having solved stretching 256x256 textures, they've moved to a 1024x1024 texture size which should allow more flexibility on larger vertical rock surfaces. This is clearly seen in Chris' screenshot above and also the new urban streets - detail so fine can only be gotten from 512 or 1024 sheets. Good move MS! :)
January 7, 200620 yr It would be great if that flex on the wing was based on each vertex's stress factor. Better than making multiple parts of a wing that rotate based on speed and aircraft off the ground!
