Using Orbx Central for more than one sim?

Featured Replies

I installed ORBX central to try some of their demos before making a purchase. When it started up for the first time, I selected Flight Simulator X as my simulator, however I would also like to try their products for X-Plane, which is on the same computer. I looked around the settings and found no option to switch the sim. I even tried reinstalling the program however upon startup it would only return to the was it was before. I don't want to go around deleting all the folders manually because I don't want to destabilise the system, although I have very carefully been getting rid of them - these efforts were to no avail however as whatever I do, it will not allow me to install addons for X-Plane 11. Any ideas on how to fix this are greatly appreciated

Ps: I hope this is in the right place - if not please feel free to move it, it's my second topic!

Under Central v3, it should prompt every time you start, which sim you want. Under the new Central v4, you just click the sim name in the left upper corner under the "OrbX" logo. Should have a drop down for all your installed sims.

When I click on the sim name, it shows a clicking animation and then nothing happens - I believe the problem may be with ORBX not seeing my X-Plane install which is on a different drive but I don't know how to lead it to the installation

Is there any way to install ORBX products without Central or is it just literally impossible to install their products on the system now?

You'll probably get more help by asking on the OrbX forum

Indeed you will. Don't get the logic of visiting the Orbx Direct site to look at their demos/freeware, then posting here on AVSIM with a technical question 🤔

Beta testing has nothing to do with the myriad ways that people contrive to install their simulators.
