Hi Guys.  I'm currently actively trying to make a main display replacement decision.  Now I run 1080P 27" samsung  with 2 22" panels for maps/web/etc.  I'd like to upgrade to 4k or 1440p mainly so i can view the VC without having to zoom as often to read gauges.  Would the below be a good replacement for the 27" I currently have?

A few things to keep in mind:

-My monitor is about 22-24" directly in front of me.

-My computer is used for P3DV4 as well as a work computer.  Browsing web/email/spreadsheets etc.

-Also.  I notice some TV's are now coming with Nvidia G-Sync.  But mostly in the larger screens.  Is this a concern or a required item?

-Hardware in my signature.  But 1080ti on a 9700K (4.6 all cores right now)

Thanks. micstatic.

I'm trying to figure out how to simulate 4k.  I've read you can go to NVIDIA CP and go to global settings/DSR Factors.  I tried choosing 4.0 then going to P3D to change resolution, but didn't see anything higher than what I hvae.  Any tips?

In another thread I realized i'll probably be fine.  Last hurdle for me on this purchase is the lack of freesync.  Even though I run an NVIDIAi i've heard sometimes it can play with freesync.  My question.  Am I foolish to buy this since it doesn't have a variable refresh rate?

I don’t have gsync and don’t play any games so I don’t know what I’m missing without gsync. But I’m delighted with what I do have.
