Maintenance/Repair

Featured Replies

I was just wondering- does this aircraft show wear+tear and use over the hours- I'm wondering what the "repair" button on the first config screen does. I haven't had to repair anything yet!

I don't think the Lear is set up to monitor typical wear and tear. I've not heard any discussion of that and have not come across any code that would support that.  However, at the sim level, I know in FSX you can enable 'random' failures of just about everything. In P3D you can enable damage due to engine and vehicle stress and collisions,  but I don't see the extensive failure options that FSX provides.  In any case, my guess is the Lear 'repair' feature would fix those sim level types of issues (and maybe dead batteries -- haven't tried that) by simply resetting everything back to 'normal'. I'll see if I can get more info on this.

Update: I found the repair button code which simply activates a standard sim level function to 'fully repair and refuel' the aircraft if flight realism is not being enforced.
