September 22, 20196 yr Hi fellow (VR interested) simmers, Yesterday I received an offer to buy a second hand Nvidia Titan X Pascal (2017) on water cooling so I took the bait and OMG... my recently new bought (RTX 2070 Super) goes back to the store tomorrow.. The 2070-S is a super card without any doubt and comparable with a 1080ti but oh my, that Titan on water and with a moderate OC is running Aerofly in VR 4K on a nice steady 90Hz and 90 fps (tested at Meigs Scenery for a while) and no need for AA settings etc. Time frames on CPU (9600K OC to 4.6) and the Titan GPU are constant below 8Ms and gives a super simming/gameplay.. I followed also the developments with Flyinside and ordered via Steam the latest version 6 with downloadable Bing Sat images so no need for Ortho and WOW... What a surprise from these especially written VR piece of Flightsim software and is getting more and more interesting and beautiful also running at 90/90 with the same Frame Times as in Aerofly. The ground textures are still a bit FS9 cartoonish style but the Milviz planes are very detailed nice and more important, very stable and a wonderful FS experience. We have to see what MS is bringing to us in 2020 but I hope that IPACS (Aerofly) and Flyinside can offer more and more in the future. Edited September 22, 20196 yr by simba_nl
September 23, 20196 yr I have been meaning to check in and see how the progress is coming with FlyInside's flightsim, so I will definitely head over there and download the latest. Sounds like you can get Bing satellite imagery as well ? that will be great. thx. rgds, JB 9800x3d, ASUS TUF x870, 64GB G.Skill DDR5, MSI Ventus 4080, HP Reverb G2 VR, FlyVirtual.net, Private Pilot SEL rating, subLogic FlightSim 1983 & every release since
