  1. I followed your adviced but still no agn files. I also get the ugly OSD phoyo scenery instead of Bing or Google although I downloaded Bing images and can see in the process that it's written with BI in it.. It's a sad story compared to the nice and easy results of Ortho4XP in XP11 so I hope they find a solution. Happy landings...
  2. Forget lights and nightflying with Nvidia 3D in FSX. It's a known issue for very long time with 3DVision. Lights are not in line and not 3D. I'm flying now for 2,5 year only in 3DVision but due to this issue only in daylight. Then the only lights that are not in the correct placement are the PAPI light beside the runway but getting used to it. Happy landings...
  3. Well, I must say, there are nice improvements with the resurrection of FSX in DX10 preview mode but still some work to do. First of all I want to thank the guys who put a lot of effort in it and the results are awesome and maybe become better in the near future BUT as long you fly in the conventional 2D modus and can live with a bit reducing of the sharpness and not 100% perfect AA it's a quantum leap forward. Flying in 3d Stereo (Nvidia 3d Vision) however is still pain in the head. On my normal dedicated FSX (Sandybridge O.C. to 4.8 and 580GTX) PC with all the bells & whizzles like UTX GEX and especially REX, DX9 mode is functional very well but...testing DX10 preview gave me less FPS and performance. I suspect REX in this case. For testing I decided to make a clean FSX install on my regular all working day disk (same machine but different HD) and was amazed about the DX10 performance without any O.C. In 3d stereo mode however I have to use a workaround for flying in 3D Stereo mode and Fullscreen Only... but using the FSX menu and/or switching to windowed 2D mode while 3D is active is causing a CTD with a NVWGF2VM.DLL error. I tried different (clean installed) Nvidia driver versions from 290.XX to the latest 310.xx versions and all doing the same. Flying in 3D windowed mode is not possible so having a FSCopilot window active as a overlay on the 3D screen is impossible. Maybe someone can figure it out because Prepar3D was also useless for me with the same non-working 3D windowed mode. First I thought it was a DX10 problem but Prepar3D is DX9 only so I don't get it. Keep up the good works and happy landings...
  4. Hi, I still have problems to get the sim running in windowed mode in 3D Vision. Running 3D Vision in fullscreen is no problem but I need the windowed mode when flying online over vatsim to have the FSInn/FSCopilot window open which is disabling the 3D screen Is there any Nvidia 3D Vision user who have find the solution to it? In DX9 it's all functioning well Happy landings.
  5. Anyone tried the trick under Prepar3D version 1.4? By me it's not working anymore...
  6. In FSX I can use Nvidia 3D vision in fullscreen and in Windowed mode. Today I installed P3D 1.4 and can only use 3D in fullscreen mode. I can remember that I was using FSX and P3D 1.2 beside each other and P3D was working ok in windowed screen mode. I need to fly in windowed mode because of the FSInn/FSCopilot screen in the upper corner while flying online with Vatsim. When using it in fullscreen mode my 3D mode fall back to standard 2D Please don't make the mistake with 2D cockpit and 3D virtual cockpit, that is not the issue. I am flying normally in stereo 3D with Nvidia 3D Vision and 3D shutterglass. Happy landings...
  7. Well, I'm surprised, tested several times since 2007 with no luck but now I have in DX10 preview mode a perfect picture with AA so it's working and even the shadows are sharp as a arrow... I made a quick testflight with the iFly 737 and the Lancair Legend and both are perfect in 2D and 3D Vision graphics with DX10 preview. The only problem I have to solve now is getting the 3D Vision stereo graph in Windowed mode for using the FSInn/CoPilot window in my 3D stereo graph. As soon I put it on my screen my stereo image is gone. Funny thing, in DX9 mode I can have stereo in Fullscreen and Windowed Mode and in DX10 preview only in full-screen with the problem as mentioned. Happy landings... in DX10 from now... PS: I haven't tried the DX10 fixes yet, I tested on my normal setup.
  8. EDIT: Ok, must be a glitch in the TIR software, Re-installed and working now !!! NEXT STEP: See how to get FSINN working...
  9. I did and edit, compile and save the .dll file with Recourse Hacker and P3D is functioning and saying, Microsoft Flight Simulator X on his header now but no luck to get TIR working... Due to these "hack" is was also possible to get FSCopilot/Fsinn installed now but didn't show up. Any suggestion? Thx...
  10. Just copy over the whole bunch and be sure to name/label the SSD as drive D: Be sure that you rename your older D: drive to another free station letter first after you copied the content. Veel succes toegewenst...
  11. In P3D version 1.2 and 1.3 now, the only way for me to get TIR working is with the EZDOK version 1.15 and have to rename Prepar3D.exe to FSX.exe EZCA Version 1.16 and the P3D Beta version 1.17 are not working at all in my case. I hope that NaturalPoint will implement P3D in there software very soon because the behavoir of TIR together with EZCA 1.15 is very jerky in my specific environment and a real showstopper. Happy landings...
  12. I hope so, have made some test in the past with the iFly and Leonardo Maddog in FSX and Prepar3D and the iFly was for 80% doing the job in a shared cockpit mode. You need a stable LAN or VPN connection so let's hope they are able to make it and the first with a full shared cockpit.
  13. Thx, that is doing the trick !!!
  14. Looking good, I made a quick flight over the NL2000 scenery to the south (Maastricht-Aachen airport) and discover a problem just north of the airport and in the picture you see a similar problem in the South East. 2 hugh grey rectangels. maybe something to do with the 2 fixes you offered? Anyway, It will be adviced to put a short install procedure with the files... Keep up the good work !!!
  15. Yep, I also have bad results with the 300 series drivers on my SB & 580 GPU. Did a clean driver install(s) but go back to the latest 200 wqhl serie.
  16. When they upgrade the graphics, it will be my first choice again to fly with.
  17. Fly the downwind procedure to the westside of the little town Axams (Check Google Earth) at 3700ft, Turn to base and follow the Kuhtal canyon under your right wing and clean up 800ft (from 3700 to 2900ft) when turning final at 2900ft you are in line with the PAPI lights for the final approach and Yes, in real world they go manual on downwind south of the tower. It's 100% a visual approach and in case of severe conditions the tower will constantly update. As stated earlier, when getting bored with the tutorial, try the LOC/DME west approach for the RW08 C2L over Elmem1A-KTI-AB-INN-RW08 This approach is steeper then the LOC/DME East from RTT Happy landings, Captain "Simba" Frank
  18. At these moment I believe 27" is the biggest 120Mhz Vision 3D capable monitor but be aware of the fact that using all the eye candy stuff in FSX will cause a massive hit on your hardware. When I made the change to 3D vision a have had a i5-750 with a GTX285 videocard and was to weak to run 3D. I invested in a 2600K and OC to 4,6Ghz and have a GTX580 and that runs fine in 3D
  19. The new (upgraded) FSX from Lockheed Martin...
  20. I have to disagree with you. Maybe it's because the 3D gear you was using but working with Nvidia 3D Vision shutterglasses in a VC cockpit of the latest planes like iFly or PMDG you can use all the buttons and switches with your mouse pointer without any problem. I even managed the FMC without popping up on the screen in 3D Vision. To get the best experience, I advice using Track-IR and for the airliners FS2Crew Voice Co-Pilot but is only a must.As a real world pilot I can tell you that flying in 2D is cartoonish and in 3D it becomes near as real... One of the best benefits is the feeling of speed in 3D when on short final. No, something is wrong in his setup, I have perfect depth feeling with buildings in FSX/Prepar3D +1I'm always using a headset because I only fly online over VATSIM so I have to communicate with ATC and with my FS2Crew Co-pilots and the Glasses is like a normal one with brilliant glasses so you can look clear at your keyboard if you have to. The combination of headset, Track-IR and glasses makes it a bit funny to see for others in the room... that's all
  21. I invested 1 year ago in 3D Vision with 2600K (OC to 4,6 when running FSX) and GTX580 and can't imagine without flying and these hardware combination with all the add-on stuff is running between 25-30fps in 3D. I hope that Prepar3D will tune up to DX10 or DX11 so the misplaced lights issue in FSX/Prepar will be solved. Running Flight in 3D is 100% perfect but normally use FSX/Prepar3D.Ofcourse I'm also using Track-IR.If configured correct, you also must have the environment and clouds visible in 3D...Happy landings.
  22. I'm using a LG 24" 120Hz together with Nvidia Vision 3D for stereoscopic flying. In combination with Track-IR it's awesome and can't imagine flying without it.
  23. I think some of you missed the point. Ryan want to make a tutorial with the real configuration for a 737NG and I understand perfectly that he don't want to believe me on my blue eyes and want to check first before given incorrect tutorial info to you. All that specific 737NG config information is in the WAR Transavia movie I mentioned and is double checked by Fred who is also a former ATPLér and now 737 trainer as I understand correctly. The funny thing is that I have had Hugh discussion here about my Youtube video's that I was showing too much surrounding area (by purpose because my animation was based on my own experience AND the WAR Transavia movie and I wanted to show MORE so fellow simmers good make a good preparation and orientation of the visual reference points because it is 100% a visual approach) Thx to that, the Vatsim Weekly Austrian Wednesday gives a more crowded sky over LOWI these days with lots of online practicing pilots and is given automaticly interesting holding and go around situations which make the flight simulation more realistic. So, for the LOC/DME East approach for RW08 and visual reference points you can familiarize your self on my Youtube channel with the 767 (part 4) and all the real world 737-800 config info is already given in these topic by me and Fred and based on the real world Transavia movie. The final step as a official PMDG 737NGX Tutorial is in the hands of Ryan now.
  24. That is because the forgiveness or other will say bad simulation of FSX. You can even descent with 140-160kts without Gear down but in real world it's impossible and I can understand that Ryan want to make a tutorial as real as it is.
  25. Maybe but not real world certified for LOWI as you can clearly see in these video but please, don't start that ego discussion from 2 months ago again and let's wait for the official tutorial or see the WAR Transavia movie as I mentioned above in these topic to check by your self..
