October 9, 20196 yr My Eng is bad , you can get the same gain with fast mems as if you OC the CPU from 4.7ghz to 5.0ghz all core. Increase the cash has in my option not give much gain if compared to wel ltuned mems , When it come to mems i not run slower then 4000mhz C16 its a littele compromiss beetwen Stable Cpu clock , memcontroller , cash, you can get the same performance with less cpu frq with higher mem frq . here is how my P3D v4.5 setup is, 5.5ghz on cpu HToff cash 51, mem 2x8 16gb 4133mhz C16 i run all my B-die at 1.5V 24/7 the hardest i test to run B-die in P3D is with ultra hard extreme settings 4000mhz C12 1.92V only for short time one hour session. i know that is a formula or rule of tumb out here , keep in mind its depend of wich mobo you get and even bios , can be quite a diff , I dont recomend to run the mems over 1.45v i you not sure what you doing. Max , its close to the same with DDR4 as DDR3 when that was up in the wall the only small diff is that DDR3 give more on the latency then speed if you lock at my setting when do the cpuz validate , it was with looser timings and speed , it was impossible with that cpu frq to run 4133 thight. As ever, I remain jealous of your golden sample CPU and RAM, and of course your ability to get the most out of them. Edited October 9, 20196 yr by TechguyMaxC
October 9, 20196 yr Author Thank you for your input guys ok so Of you had 200 Canadian to spend what 3600 MHz ram would you get techguy maxc

That being said, if the choices are: 1) somewhat slower 32GB kit 2) super fast 16GB kit I'm taking option 2. If you don't care about RGB, and you agree with my premise (16GB fast RAM is better than 32GB of somewhat slower RAM for most uses) this looks like a really good option for < $200 CA: https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232194

Thanks my friend , here a CB15 screen of my 9900k at 5.0ghz AIO 280rad i know that you think its a heck of cpu and CB15 is qutie hard , never showed this before https://www.dropbox.com/s/50fgps0fyhtmqvx/5ghzcb15.png?dl=0 http://

Is 1.1v vcore at idle or is that your voltage for 5GHz Cinebench? Knowing how small of an impact RAM has on Cinebench scores, that's an impressive score for 5GHz CPU/4.5GHz uncore. I score 2140 with 5GHz CPU/4.7GHz uncore and 3600/C19 32GB kit. Cheers!

October 10, 20196 yr Author Can anybody advise if they have the ram that max c has mentioned above working on your system with i9 9900k and gigabyte Aorus master in xmp mode with out any issues I just want to be certain which to get as I don’t really want to be tinkering with voltages etc etc to run I just want to plug and fly regards mike
