If you use Gigabyte MB check out the report a flaw in the RGB Fusion software on TomsHardware.

I haven't used MSI for a long time, too many bad experiences between myself and other enthusiasts I know.  That being said, they are pretty popular, and review well.

Good move.  It shouldn't be a huge price difference and the Z390 Master is literally one of the best Z390 boards you can buy.

I just 2 x16gb Corsair vengeance LPX

black 3200mhz

cl 16 18 18 36

is that good?

For 32GB it’s acceptable, though usually you want to pick either high bandwidth or low latency, that Kit doesn’t particularly excel in either category. 3600 C18 RAM will deliver the same latency but higher bandwidth.

Meh the ram is actually running really well,

and at xmp profile

worth every penny for 199 bucks

form 3200 to 3600 MHz cl14 to 16

you’ll never no the difference.

its all marketing

Funny you should say that as I happen to have done extensive testing on this subject, though with DDR3 rather than DDR4 so my data is quite out of date.

I know @westman has also done pretty extensive testing on the subject more recently than I, perhaps he'll chime in.

Additionally, virtuali has offered his findings on the subject just this morning in fact!

You can see that there is DEFINITELY a speedup IN FLIGHT SIM when using fast RAM.

The axiom "fast RAM is a placebo" doesn't apply here (and I dispute its validity to begin with).

Yes, but that it is a significant jump from 2133 to 3000

and yet again yielding a very very small improvement.
I have been going a banana’s and researching , getting opinions  a lot on what ram to get.

and I’ve come to the conclusion that

higher MHz and very tight timings for ram.

in my opinion your just better off just burning your cash.

You may want to read the post again more carefully.  The first test results were actually performed at only 2400.  He re-tested at 3000 and saw even better results.

No one is saying "spend $500 on RAM because it will double your FPS in flight sim!", all I'm saying is that you can get better performance with faster RAM.  Of course there is a point of diminishing returns.  Personally, I find the sweet spot around 3600MHZ RAM speed, preferrably with low timings.

"very very small" ? In the worse case scenario ( PMDG VC ), I went from 14.9 to 17.9, which is a 20% increase and it was probably the most noticeable, visually.

Yes, the increase is not linear, going from 2133 to 2400 got better results than going from 2400 to 3000 but, it could possibly depend on my CPU ( i7-6700 ), which is old by today's standard, so it's likely that faster CPUs might benefit more from chips faster than DDR4-3000.

No you got me thinking wether I should take back my Corsair vengeance LPX 16x 2 gb

3200mhz at cl16

and getting 3600mhz 2x8gb cl16

but ide like the 32gb for future proofing as I will have my i9 for at least 7 years

but sadly can’t afford it for 3600mhz it’s
