September 29, 20196 yr I have purchased UGCX v1.2. When running P3D for first time after ugcx installation I have noticed that: - ugcx is not indexing the sceneries - Add-on menu of P3Dis not showing ugcx and - ugcs log file is empty Ugcx is installed into LM folder as installer suggested. I have no idea what to do to get ugcx working Mark
September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member Hey Marek, I think this sounds like the UGCX DLL wasn't loaded by P3D. Question to ensure it's the correct P3D version, you are using P3Dv4 right? Also, try posting your DLL.XML file. Because if the LOG is empty, then the DLL wasn't loaded. Something went wrong with the Setup installer. Cheers,
September 29, 20196 yr Author Hello Manuel, thank you for your reply. Yes, I have p3dv4 running. ddl.xml file is here: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> <Launch.Addon> <Name>XMLTools64</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>XMLTools64.dll</Path> <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName> <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName> </Launch.Addon> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> <Name>FSUIPC 5</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>E:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Modules\FSUIPC5.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>as_connect</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>as_srv\as_connect_64.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document>
September 29, 20196 yr Author Hello Manuel, thank you for hint -> I did find 2 spots where ddl.xml was located. One of them contained this: <Launch.Addon> <Name>Ultimate Ground Crew X</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>.\Ultimate Ground Crew X\UGCX64.dll</Path> <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName> <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName> </Launch.Addon> So I copied that into other xml and it worked! thank you for your time, please, consider this issue being fixed. Marek
September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member Don't worry, glad you sorted it out! Even if you fixed/solved it, I think it would be a great idea to have Bryan look at this issue, so he could fix the setup/installer to prevent this issue to happen with another user/customer in the future. September 30, 20196 yr Commercial Member The DLL.xml has been the bane of every developer's existence since FSX introduced it. We'll add an option to the Config Manager so you can "verify" that the the DLL.xml was actually added properly. In 99.9 percent of all cases it will work properly, but there's always that point 1 percent. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
